In June 2023, according to data from the General Statistics Office, Vietnam exported 56,000 tons of cashew nuts with a value of 325 million USD, up 20.2% in volume and 13.8% in value over the same period last year. 2022.
Accumulated in the first 6 months of 2023, Vietnam exported 276,000 tons of cashew nuts with USD 1.61 billion, up 10.5% and 7.7% respectively over the same period last year. In 2023, the Vietnam Cashew Association (Vinacas) set a target of exporting $3.1 billion in cashew nut exports, a slight increase of $30 million compared to 2022. According to Vinacas, the production and supply chain of the cashew industry is global. demand and in Vietnam continue to face many difficulties. With the results achieved in the first half of 2023, the cashew industry has completed 51% of the set export plan for the year.
In terms of prices, the export price of cashew nut exports continued to decrease compared to the same period in 2022, of which January had a relatively deep decrease, and March had a recovery momentum. Generally in the first 5 months of 2023, the average export price of Vietnam's cashew nuts reached $5,881/ton, down 1.9% over the same period in 2022.

Regarding the market, the US is the largest export market with 57,678 tons and worth 335 million USD in the first 5 months of 2023. China is behind with 30,179 tons, reaching 198 million USD; Netherlands with 20,204 tons, reaching 120.7 million USD.
